Gené Bekker Registered Psychologist and EMDR Therapist

Gené is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated (AAPi).

Gené focuses on supporting individuals and couples through a systemic and integrated framework.  She practices a strengths-based approach, that is, she assists individuals in identifying and working to their strengths, abilities and potential rather than focusing on problems, deficits, and pathologies.

Offering more than 20 years of experience working across a range of sectors, including education, mental health, corporate psychology, corrections, and occupational rehabilitation.

Gené completed an MSc degree at London Guildhall University (QOccPsych, CPsycol), graduating in 2001 and is currently completing her EMDR accreditation.
