Dr Barry Collins B.D.S. (JCU)
Barry graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University in Cairns in 2013. Over the past 13 years, he has practiced across independent, not-for-profit and private dental
clinics.
A highlight of Barry’s career was spending two and a half years as the principal dentist for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Queensland, providing essential dental care to remote
communities, often hundreds of kilometres from the nearest dentist.
Barry and Brianna have worked alongside each other since 2021, developing a strong professional relationship built on a shared commitment to ethical dentistry, mutual respect and genuine care for their patients. Their complementary approach to treatment planning and patient care has made them a natural team.
Barry believes that good dentistry isn’t necessarily about doing more treatment, but about doing what’s right for each individual patient. His conservative, patient-centered philosophy focuses on
preserving natural teeth wherever possible, avoiding unnecessary intervention and achieving the best possible long-term outcomes.
Outside of dentistry, Barry lives in Smiths Lake with his partner Hollie and their Ragdoll cat. He enjoys the relaxed coastal lifestyle and everything the beautiful Mid North Coast has to offer.
